Santa Marta, Cabrera de Mar 

(recommended for lunch weekdays)

5 minutes from here by car, Santa Marta offers a weekly changing lunch menu with a focus on local Catalan cuisine. It has a spacious terrace with nice views of the sea. The ambiance is relaxed. The lunch menu (including starter, main, desert, bread, water and wine or beer) is 25 Euros. Reservation one day ahead is recommended, especially for Fridays. Parking on site.

La Concordia, Cabrils

(lunch and dinner)

Offers great classic tapas and also a decent lunch menu (including starter, main, desert, bread water, wine or beer, 24 Euros). The key features: you can eat at any time, meaning you don’t have to wait until 9pm until most restaurants open here for dinner. It’s open 7 days a week. When you park at the main car park in Cabrils, please don’t forget to put a parking disc or write your arrival time on a piece of paper you put in your windscreen. No reservation necessary. Parking available opposite in the Cabrils center main car park. You need to indicted your arrival time, a piece of paper  with the time is enough.

Secret de Vilassar, Vilassar de Mar

(recommended for lunch weekdays)

Hidden gem in the campo. Not fancy at all, but offers a great lunch menu (including starter, main, desert, bread, water and wine or beer around 16 Euros). We can highly recommend the zucchini carpaccio or the muscles as starters and the paellas as main courses. Cash only. There are no prices in the menus, but you can ask the waiter. Parking on site

Aspirant for the title of ugliest restaurant in the world. But delightful, authentic Thai Food. Opens at 7pm, so great for early dinners. Parking best at Aparcament Vicenç Casanovas.

If you are after a fine dining experience, Threads is for you. Not cheap, but excellent food. Parking easy in front of the restaurant. Reservation recommended, not because it might be booked out, but so they know you will be coming. Parking on site

Salvana, Vilassar de Mar

(recommended for lunch weekdays)

A relatively new restaurant in Vilassar de Mar with great contemporary Catalan food, which also includes an excellent ceviche.  Lunch menu including starter, main, desert, bread, water, wine or beer around 22 Euros. Parking can be a bit difficult, it’s best to park in the street Carrer de Cristofor Colom and walk down. Reservation one day ahead is recommended. Google Maps shows the address as Carrer de Sant Pau 19, but the entrance is actually on the main road at the beach. Parking best at Aparcament Vicenç Casanovas.

Una Pizza Truck, Cabrils

(only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday as of 19:00)

Great wood oven pizza. You can call and pre-order, but most of the time it’s as fast to go there and order directly. They have excellent gluten free pizza too, but you need to get or reserve them on a Friday, they sell pout quickly. They also have a restaurant in Vilassar de Mar which is open also during weekdays, same great pizzas (including gluten free).

Ca l'Estrany, Cabrils

Ca l'Estrany is a restaurant located in a rustic 15th-century farmhouse, focused on Mediterranean and market cuisine. Excellent lunch menu for around 27 Euros. A bit more expensive, therefore more sophisticated food. Parking on site.

Restaurant directly at the beach. Spectacular views. And great food with focus on everything out of the sea. Parking best at Aparcament Vicenç Casanovas.

There are many good supermarkets, easy to reach by car. Supermarkets are usually open from 9 am until 9 pm.

 

Lidl, Vilassar de Mar

German supermarket chain with good quality/value. Mix of known and own brands. Good veggie and fruit section. 

 

Mercadona, Vilassar de Mar

Spanish supermarket chain mainly with own brands. Best tortilla de patatas (in the freshly made section). Also, hummus and guacamole the best you can find readymade.  

 

Carrefour, Cabrera de Mar

French supermarket chain with focus on extra-large assortment. Big! 

 

Sorli, Cabrils

The closest supermarket. Relatively small, but great assortment. A little more expensive than the others.

 

Condis and Caprabo, Cabrils center

Open late, Sundays and public holidays. 

 

 

Bakeries

 

Santa Gloria, Cabrils 

(check Google Maps for opening times, usually as of 8:30)

Has decent bread and very good croissants. Special mention goes to the “Pan de Sarraceno” (Buckwheat bread)

 

Moli de Cabrils

Bakery in the center of town, the butter croissants are very good

 

Cal Mosso, in the Ametller Origin store, Port de Premia de Mar

Excellent bakery with great variety
